Nivomat is a vehicle suspension system created by ZF Sachs. While most other suspension systems rely on springs, struts and shock absorbers, Nivomat replaces all these components with a single component which provides damping, ride stability and constant ride height control. Nivomat uses a pump which is activated by the relative movement between the axle and the chassis while driving. This pump provides de adequate pressure for levelling the car and damping the road irregularities.
